SECOND HELPINGS

I just watched a 3-legged dog dance down the street.  He was bouncing along, tail high and wagging and I could swear he was grinning!

What is it that allows some of us to handle life’s adversities with such élan and others to fall apart at the smallest challenge?

One way of looking at this comes from Mother Teresa:
“People are unreasonable and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.  Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.  Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.  Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end …it was never between you and them anyway.”

  1. this is my favorite Mother Teresa's quote!
"BE HAPPY ANYWAY",I wish I could do the same and it's amazing that sometimes animals can teach us so many things!

  3. I really like the reminder that, it's not really about the other person!

  4. I heard that when someone commented on what a wonderful person Mother Teresa was she said something about everything she did was actually for herself, that if it didn't make her feel good she wouldn't be doing it!

  5. Dogs live totally in the now; I think we can learn a lot from that.
