“He’s sonning you,” she said.

This great expression is from our deep South – and once you hear it and realize the meaning – it’s perfect!

‘Sonning’ is that incredibly condescending verbal pat on the head…

You know what I’m talking about.

It's the interaction where it seems like the person talking to you is being 'nice' but you walk away feeling - well, let's face it - diminished!

One of those moments where you ask yourself in bewilderment, “What the @#*k just happened?”

What do ya say?  Been there?
