Remember all those childhood bedtime stories about planning for the future?
The Grasshopper and the Ants? http://read.gov/aesop/052.html
The Three Little Pigs? https://americanliterature.com/childrens-stories/the-three-little-pigs
How did you react way back then when your heard these fables?
Did they teach you a valuable lession, or scare you about the future?
Were you later confused by all the advice about living in the present?
How do you put these two mandates together and make sense for your own life?

An opportunity to experiment with some fun ideas…
CAN YOU FIND YOUR OWN BALANCE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN?
This is an interesting one to play with…
To find your own balance think about some of the people you know who have done this well:
Maybe an elderly person who took care of themselves re: housing, health issues etc.
Maybe a friend or relative who did good planning in relationships with others.
Then maybe think about some of the people you know who did not find a good balance. What can you learn from their stories?
Now think about your own life. Where is your balance right now?
