its myths - those stories we tell ourselves that subtly create norms and rules
that unite us and give us our life scripts.
We have overall
cultural myths, religious fables, small group myths, family myths…
And of course, the
intriguing thing is that they are rarely presented with caveats or bullet
points labeled 'Rules'…
Some are very subtly
served to us - think children's' stories and fairy tales…
Some are
highlighted and served up in 'caps'…
In order to
empower yourself, it is important to realize how these narratives have impacted
you and then to think about the concept of choice!

exercise, allow yourself to imagine being inundated with the opposite ideas…
And finally think
about choice… what beliefs make sense to you?
