TIME OUT

I was going to start this weeks post by talking about how current events are affecting everyone - how most meetings now begin with 'can you believe?' or 'OMG I can't believe!'

How the stress of each days' 'breaking news' permeates everything, and, more importantly how to take care of ourselves so that these constant external stressors don't overwhelm our lives.

As I began my research something caught my eye…

My breathing changed and I began laughing as I got lost in the world of baby pandas at an amazing place called Chengdu…

What do ya say?  You do get the point, right?

CITY LIFE…

This morning as I was making my coffee I heard a really disturbing sound -

TWEET!   TWEET!
Sort of a high pitched shrieking.

"What now?"  I wondered.

What piece of machinery was self destructing?
The dishwasher?  Was it about to spray water all over the floor?
I envisioned a major flood cascading down to my neighbor…

No, maybe it was the coffee machine itself?

Or even the music system giving a final death gasp?

Suddenly an amazing thing happened…
I looked out the window and there, in a nearby treetop …

Yep!
A bird was loudly chirping away… serenading the morning…

What do ya say?
Ever find you're losing sight of the song?

WASAH MATTAH? CAN'T TAKE A JOKE?

This morning when I stepped on the scale something really scary happened…

The read-out said:  FFFF

I mean is that serious failure, or what?
I jumped off before it tried to hit me and rushed to read the manual…

FFFF = "You have overloaded this scale!"

Okay…
I had been planning a diet anyhow, but gaining 800+ pounds overnight seems a little extreme!

What do ya say?
Ever have a day that starts out like this?

How do you turn it around?
Any ideas?
