In my culture hospitality equals abundance. The table has to be full and you have to
encourage whole-hearted participation…
You know … "Eat! Eat!"
Now with this friend that second part would not be generous! It would actually feel invasive…
How to resolve this dilemma? Be
true to my cultural generosity mandate or respect my guest?
