AFTER THE BOMB

Why do we pretend everything is okay when it's not?
Did you ever hear stories about people in Hiroshima after the bomb going out on the street with brooms to sweep up the debris?  True or not, it's a strange story, right?
In order to survive 'intact' we humans have a tremendous need to normalize things - to make it all okay - even if it means acting as if the bad thing didn't happen.

What do ya say?
You can understand why we do this, right?

Can you also understand that it never really works to make it okay?
